Description

FocusDream

FocusDream allows the focus in manual and automatic mode directly from a PC, using standard programs such as astronomical
Sequence Generator Pro
, MaximDL, FocusMax, BahtinovGrabber
and other programs that support the ASCOM platform focusing section.
FocusDream also has its own utility FocusDream Control panel, which allows you to quickly refocus using the utility interface buttons, or use the left or right mouse buttons. Especially useful this tool is for amateur astronomers, planetary photography.
You can program the drive backlash compensation focuser (Backlash).
Also, FocusDream allows you to control a DC motor focuser other. If you use your computer in the observatory, it provides a good way for you to not to look in the dark hand control focuser.
FocusDream works best with engines of DC 5V, such as a new JMI Motofocus, but can also work with 9V or 12V motors.
The engines that require up to 150mA DC will work with FocusDream.
Today FocusDream was tested with Synta (SkyWatcher) electric focuser, JMI Motofocus, Levenhuk electric focuser, Orion AccuFocus, Meade 1209, TeleVue Focusmate Driver and WalterLee heliFocus,FocusDream also eliminates the need for battery usage of your focuser, as the engine is now powered directly from the computer USB-ports.
Using free software FocusDream control panel that allows you to control the speed and direction of your engine with the help of mouse clicks.
FocusDream supporting ASCOM standard. DC motors do not provide absolute positioning as a stepper motor, but using FocusDream mode auto focus with third-party software, you can get decent results.
