Marion Bronze Poodle Bookends

Vintage Marion Bronze Poodle Bookends.  Rare Marion Bronze Pair of Poodle Bookends. Approximately 8" high. Each has several tiny paint chips and one has some missing enamle on back as shown in photos. These were purchased at an antique store in Missouri over 20 years ago and are as I found them.  They are made of bronze and together they weigh approximately 5 pounds. Both are marked on the back "MB" According to brochure online, Marion Bronze Company was established in 1922 by Arthur and Marion France. Their house and adjacent manufacturing plant were located in Metuchen, NJ, on Plainfield Road. The business continued to be operated until 1958 when the France's retired and sold the property and business.
