Router Table Plate and Insert

I bought this years ago and like so many things I never got around to using it. I was going to use it with a Porter-Cable 690. It is brand new and has never been out of the package.
The Aluminum Router Plate is 8'' x 11''. The hole opening is 1.5".
The Rockler website says this: A router table insert plate makes it easy to lift your router out and set it on the table for comfortable bit changes, height adjustments, maintenance and even to use your router free hand or with a straight edge guide. These router table base plates save you from a lot of backaches, squinting and bumps on the back of the head from stooping under the table.
